Peyton began writing in 1997 with the help of Facilitated Communication and hasn’t stopped since. The following documents represent a small selection of her writings up to 2002, when she began writing her book. Peyton expresses herself in a unique style that combines poetic phrasing with her own distinctive vocabulary: “My youth had harshness that porpoised me in sopping whirlpools of insanity. It fears me that I’m insane, and mysteries of my fears only I will ever know. Yowls of my heart hold no options to be heard.”
